Poole Divers is a companion app for members of Poole Diving Club. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and what is stored.
The app does not require you to create an account. We do not collect, store, or transmit:
If you tap "I'm booked on this dive", the app requests permission to write a calendar event to your device calendar. Calendar data is written locally to your device only and is never transmitted to any server.
The second-hand gear section allows club administrators to post items for sale. When adding a listing, an administrator may use the camera or photo library to photograph an item. The resulting image is uploaded to ImgBB (imgbb.com), a third-party image hosting service, solely to generate a publicly accessible image URL for the listing. Only administrators using the password-protected posting feature will trigger this permission. Regular members browsing listings are never prompted for camera or photo access.
The app may send local push notifications to remind you of upcoming dives you have booked. Notifications are scheduled on-device. No notification content is routed through our servers.
Second-hand gear listings are stored in Google Firestore (Firebase project: nd-hand-gear). Listings contain only item descriptions, prices, contact details voluntarily submitted by the administrator, and image URLs. No member personal data is stored in Firestore.
This app is intended for adult club members. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
